LEE GANNON

πŸ‘” Experience

I’m responsible for developing social media advertising into one of the agency’s fastest-growing services, with clients ranging from startups to enterprise. I manage a team of paid social experts.

I moved agency-side to Receptional, to work with a broader range of clients and accelerate my learning. I ran Google Ads campaigns and introduced Facebook and LinkedIn Ads as a new service.

I led the marketing strategy of a technology startup selling digital signage solutions (SAAS and hardware). Scaled the business through PPC and SEO, acquiring customers like British Airways.

I was offered a full-time role after a successful internship, trusted to become the company’s first employee. I self-taught PPC and SEO through articles and videos.

One of the internships that started my interest in marketing. This role helped me develop sales skills as it involved cold-calling prospects. I went on to regularly run live product demos.

πŸŽ“ Education

A 12 week online marketing certification run by Professor Mark Ritson. It involved 10 business school modules and practical coursework where I wrote a fictional marketing plan, awarded an A grade.

I received dual First Class Honours with an average of 78.6% across English and History. One of my essays was shortlisted in the international Undergraduate Awards.

πŸ’» Projects

I’ve juggled a number of freelance marketing projects to date. Since February 2020, I have helped my old employer, TrouDigital, scale their Google and Microsoft Ads, applying my new knowledge.

Another past side-hustle was creating small businesses’ WordPress websites. After creating one for my then driving instructor, I focused on this niche to start a small business with my brother.Β

πŸ† Awards

The leadership team at Receptional nominated me for the Rising Star category which recognises top talent under the age of 30, working in the paid media industry. I was extremely proud to win the overall individual award, as judged by a panel of leading specialists in the industry.

Won Gold for my LinkedIn Ads campaign for wealth manager, Killik & Co. This lead generation activity targeted high-net-wealth individuals and leveraged the client’s market research data. We beat a shortlist that included the likes of Metro Bank and Intuit QuickBooks.

The same lead generation campaign in the wealth management space was also recognised as the best-in-class example of LinkedIn advertising as a channel.

My LinkedIn Ads campaign for enterprise cloud-computing client, Nutanix, won the international Bronze Award. It was a lead generation campaign featuring the comedian Joe Wilkinson.

The same LinkedIn Ads campaign made an international shortlist for The Drum Awards, alongside finalists HSBC, The Body Shop, The Prince’s Trust and TikTok Japan.
